ADY Pennock will be hoping to build some momentum as Forest Green kick-start their seventeenth Conference season with a long trip to Southport on Saturday, August 9.
The Green Devils then welcome reprieved Chester City for their first home game of the season on Tuesday, August 12.
Pennock, who will begin his first full season in charge will welcome big guns Bristol Rovers for a Bank Holiday Monday derby clash on Monday, August 25, 3pm.
Rovers have a tough Christmas fixture list, with a home game against Kidderminster Harriers on Boxing Day Day followed by trips to Wrexham on December 28 and Kidderminster on New Year's Day.
They end their campaign with games against Macclesfield (h), Gatsehead (a), and Dover (h).
Pennock said: "It's a tough start to the season away to Southport, but of course it's a very tough league.
"Southport now have Martin Foyle in charge, so it will be good to catch up with him again."
"And then we have Bristol Rovers on August Bank Holiday Monday - that's a cracking one, I'm pleased. They're a massive club and it's a very good local derby for us and something to look forward to.
"Whatever part of the season you look - whether its the start, the middle or the end, there will be tough games and I truly believe anyone can beat anyone else in this league."
