Cirencester (77) lost to Frampton-on-Severn (78-4) by six wickets

FRAMPTON picked up their fourth win in a row at Cirencester.

After a morning of rain, a curtailed match of 40 overs was possible.

The visitors lost the toss and were asked to bowl.

Openers Jono Jamieson-Black and Will Mason both found Dan Huxstep and Craig Barnfield hard to handle.

Black was caught behind by Nick Peacey in the fifth over and Mason followed, caught by a sharp catch in the slips by Matt Cayless.

With the score on just 18 in the 15th over Cirencester were struggling.

Huxstep's first six overs went for just one run and Barnfield took 2-14 off his eight.

William Rudd was caught by Tom Warren for just four and Jock Jamieson-Black and Andy Reynolds both failed to trouble the scorer, leaving the home team on 26-5.

Dan Halsey and Lee Driver-Dickerson proved excellent first change bowlers, taking wickets at regular intervals with only Ross Ruffels and Rob Lamble able to make double figures.

The innings ended in the 33rd over on a well below-par score of 77.

Halsey (8-1-20-4) and Driver-Dickerson (8-3-16-3) were the pick of the Frampton bowlers, backed up by some excellent fielding .

Frampton lost their first wicket in the second over but Warren and Driver-Dickerson steadied the ship until Warren fell lbw to Ross Jeffels in the tenth over.

Dan Huxstep was adjudged to be lbw for just three but Driver-Dickerson was chipping away all the time, finishing on 36 as Frampton cruised over the line after 23 overs.
