THE 22nd Cotswold Relay took place recently with Dursley Running Club getting three teams totalling 30 runners to the various start lines.

Dursley Vets managed seventh position, the women eighth with the senior males team 11th in their respective categories, the club yet again punching well above their weight against the larger metropolitan clubs.

Stand out runs came from Dan Anderson, placing third on the Ebley Mill to Dursley leg and Kevin Jackson, who was 11th overall on the Dursley to Wotton stage, while Lindsay Heeley placed third woman on stage one and Dave Wood was 20th on stage nine.

Super vets Tony Wooldridge, Fred Yearsly, Dave Saunders Graeme Hawkins and Richard Bromley all produced good performances on the day.

Dursley now have two Kings of the Cotswolds with Fred Yearsley and Graeme Hawkins both achieving the feat of having run all ten legs.
