DURSLEY Running Club member Kate Browning ran the Bath trail marathon.
The race was part of the Bath Running Festival, a celebration of off-road running around the beautiful hills and valleys of Bath, which also features a ‘long’ half marathon and 10k and 5k races.
Browning ran it with a sprained ankle and took a wrong turn somewhere along the way on the hilly course.
Considering the nature of the injury and the terrain, her time of 5:13:46 was impressive, and she was third female in the 40–49 category.
The club runs from Dursley Rugby Club on Tuesday nights. Meet at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.
