A MONTHLY medal was also held on Saturday.

The highlight was a hole in one on the 11th for Jake O'Neill .

Results – Division One: 1st Richard Lamper 66-5=61, 2nd Jon Hill 74-9=65 and 3rd Matt Wise 75-8=67.

Division Two: 1st Neil Davies 76-16=60 2nd David Spencer 80-15=65 and 3rd Rich Kendall 78-12=66.

Division Three: 1st Stuart Lancaster 87-24=63 2nd Micky Coles 88-23=65 and 3rd Mark Perry 86-20=66.

The Senior Section have been busy recently.

They played at Long Ashton, losing by 6.5-0.5.

Trevor Coles and Richard Parkin got the halved match.

The following day they travelled to the other end of the county to play Ross but fared little better, losing 7-1.

The Stinchcombe success was the pairing of Richard Lane and Chris Cooke, who won 5 & 4.

They continued with their losing streak when entertaining Cotswold Hills at home, going down 5-2.

Stinchcombe's successful pairings were Keith Tocknell and Terry Munday (4&3) and Richard Parkin and Mike Walker (3&2)

On Saturday Stinchcombe B played Cotswold Hills at home, winning comprehensively 5-1.

Dave Meredith and Ian Buxton (1up), Nigel Coyle and Jerry Elliott (1up), Jeff Pullin and Len Keating (half), Rich Coates and Steve Mowbray (half), Alistair Thomson and Jonno Massey (4&3) and Matt Ayres and Nigel Hudson (3&2) got their points.

The Men's Open Medal was held the previous week.

Nett: 1st Alex Higgs (65-2= 63), 2nd Jason Creed 78-12=66, 3rd Jeff Pullin 75-9=66, 4th Craig White 75-9=66 and 5th Brian Smith 85-18=67.

A Stinchcombe side travelled to Knowle Golf Club to play the second leg of their annual fixture, which was first played in 1934.

Stinchcombe had a 6.5-1.5 advantage from their home fixture and duly won the trophy, despite losing 5-3.

The successful Stinchcombe pairings were Stan Lewis and Alistair Thomson (3&2), Martin Ley and Jim Fryer (5&4) and Dave Meredith and John Hindshaw (2&1).
