Kingswood Village (242-5) lost to Travellers (246-8) by two wickets
KINGSWOOD started steadily against itinerant team Travellers.
Openers Kevin Morgan and Mark Thomas (41) put on 86 in 18 overs before Thomas was bowled.
After losing two more wickets quickly, Vince Taylor joined Morgan in a stand of 80 runs off 10 overs before being caught for 48.
Kingswood continued to score at nine an over with Morgan finishing on 110 not out after carrying his bat for 40 overs.
The Travellers openers started the chase at ten runs an over before Roy Thomas (8-2-56-2) made the breakthrough and Chas Walwin (8-2-21-2) picked up two wickets.
The Kingswood bowlers were then on top, restricting Travellers to 40 runs off the next 14 overs.
With the score on 104-4 the game was in the balance but with a succession of big shots and several dropped catches Travellers took control.
Despite Dave Richardson (7-1-41-2) and Taylor (8-0-57-2) taking two wickets apiece, Travellers reached their target with nine balls remaining.
