IT HAS been a long summer of competition for Berkeley-based Giant Halo Film cyclists Etienne and Pfeiffer Georgi.
The last national series road race of the season saw 13-year-old Castle School pupil Pfeiffer, sporting her national champion road jersey, achieving second place at the hilly Scarborough circuit.
Competing for the England South team at The Sainsbury's School Games in Manchester, Etienne, 15, and his sister Pfeiffer were proud to reprieve their fourth
position overall in the team competition again this year.
Christened the Silver Arrows, because of their team colours, Etienne also won his first School Games medal, achieving bronze in the team pursuit.
The pair also competed in the GHS national time trial 10-mile final in Leicestershire, an event named after George Herbert Stancer, who was a prolific force in cycling from the 1920s and promoter of youth competition.
Pfeiffer won her age category and was placed fourth overall amongst the 54 12 to 16-year-old female qualifiers.
Etienne achieved fourth equal overall in the boys’ competition against 126 12 to 16-year-olds.
