Les James League Cup Round Two

Kingswood 0 Kings Stanley 3

KINGSWOOD could not make home advantage count against Kings Stanley.

The visitors took the lead in the 25th minute from a long ball that was picked up by Danny Chandler to face the home keeper before slotting the ball home. Kingswood had a great chance to draw level in the 35th minute from the penalty spot but Tom Higgins' strike was well saved by the Stanley keeper.

Stanley went 2-0 up in the first minute of the second half from another long ball that was latched onto by Jake Davies to slot the ball into the bottom corner. Kingswood came more into the game as it progressed and should have pulled a goal back in the 76th minute but Paul Bleaken fired over the bar from point blank range.

Two minutes later Stanley scored a third as several errors by the home defence allowed Chandler the opportunity to net his second of the afternoon.
