West Women's Hockey League

Berkeley League Division Two

Dursley 1 BA. 2nds 1

DURSLEY came back from a goal down to gain a deserved point against BAC.

The visitors started well and Angie Mason was forced to make a good save.

Ayley Moir and Pippa Hickey made strong runs into the B.A.C. defence before Mason was again called into action with some excellent saves.

Just before the break Emily Campbell took the ball from her own half and out-paced the B.A.C. defence down the right but her cross was cleared so that the match was goalless at half-time.

Soon after the restart a short corner by B.A.C. resulted in a goalmouth scramble and the ball was forced over the line to put Dursley in arrears.

Leanne Smith and Moir were prominent in most attacking movements by the home team and the maturing partnership of Linzi Moulder and Erin Robinson supported the excellent Campbell in defence.

A Hickey forage into the D provided the cross which was expertly dealt with by Cindi Beale, who scored the equaliser with a reverse stick flick.

Neither side could find a winner.
