GLOUCESTERSHIRE chief executive Will Brown has high hopes for the county next summer after the release of the new fixtures.

Derbyshire are first to visit the County Ground in the LV= County Championship Division Two after Gloucestershire travel to Northamptonshire on the opening day of the season.

The big NatWest T20 BLAST fixture at the County Ground comes on Friday June 19 when rivals Somerset travel to Bristol, with Gloucestershire facing their neighbours in Taunton on Friday July 3.

The counties also clash in the Royal London One-Day 50 overs competition on Sunday August 2 at Nevil Road.

Brown said: “We’re delighted to have so much great cricket in 2015. Somerset at home in a NatWest T20 BLAST on June 19 and again in the One-Day Cup on August 2 will no doubt be the highlight for many but with some great cricket all year round there is plenty to excite fans.

"With the Gloucestershire team showing promise in 2014, this should be a breakthrough year for the club.”
