FOREST Green boss Ady Pennock has thanked chairman Dale Vince for granting him a January transfer window war chest.
Following the capture of Stuart Fleetwood, who featured as a sub in the emphatic win over Welling this afternoon, Pennock announced the after-match signings of Sutton United centre-back Charlie Clough for an undisclosed fee until the end of next season and former Southampton academy striker Corby Moore, 21, who has been plying his trade in America for Indy Eleven in the North American Soccer League.
Pennock said: Dale (Vince) is backing me and I can’t thank him enough and we’re moving in the right direction.
"No players are leaving at the moment and some more business could be done, but we will see how it goes."
Clough,24, who started his career at Bristol Rovers has played Conference football for Newport and Telford and scored a brace for his former club Sutton in his farewell game today.
“Charlie will join up with us tomorrow and is a talented boy and will be a welcome addition,” added Pennock.
“Corby Moore has been playing in America for the last two years and is an attacking midfielder, who can also play centre-forward, we hope to get his international clearance sorted and he has a deal until the end of the season.”
