Cam 190 all-out lost to Westbury-on-Severn 191-9 by 1 wicket

Pete Hall's Cam side fell to defeat for the first time this season to the hands of Westbury.

After being asked to bat, Cam lost Adam Holloway for eight in the eight over.

Stuart Newman returned to the first team but was caught by Tegg off the bowling of Edgington for 12.

This started a third mini collapse of the season as Cam found themselves 88-5 off 28 overs.

Hall, who had seen everybody come and go at the other end, passed 50 and then went on a scoring spree adding another 26 off the next 10 deliveries he faced.

Ryan Western showed new levels of maturity to bat alongside Hall.

Western was eventually stumped for 36 scoring at a run a ball ending a 95 run partnership.

As Hall passed 100 with four overs remaining, a score of over 200 looked possible, but this vanished in a matter of moments.

From 183-6 Cam fell to 190 all out.

Ballard, Dolling and Holloway added two runs between them and Hall's superb innings was ended on 104 as he was trapped leg-before.

Opening bowlers Dolling and Western looked to keep it tight but struggled to find the early breakthrough.

When it did come Western dismissed Hargreaves and Down in a matter of balls.

Gayther soon followed as he was caught behind by Dolbear off the bowling of Hall.

The middle order held up some resistance against the flight of Hall before he claimed two more wickets.

Similar to the Hall's innings Jon Tegg was at the other end watching wickets fall around him.

After passing 50, Ballard was introduced into the attack and nearly claimed the vital scalp only for an edge to be put down by Dolbear.

This proved crucial as Tegg and Edgington took advantage.

With Western back in the attack Tegg was adjudged leg-before for 80, while at the other end Ballard notched two wickets with catches from Holloway and Hall.

A miscalculation cost Cam however as Adam Holloway had to bowl the third last over.

Edgington hit the winning runs and handed Cam their first defeat of the season.
