Cam 236-7 beat Cinderford 94ao by 142 runs

CAM made it a maximum point double against Cinderford for the season and bounced back after last week’s defeat to Redmarley.
Ben Holloway’s spell of 6-18 completely decimated the middle order of Cinderford leading to a 142 run win.
The victory has put Cam level on points with second-placed Westbury-on-Severn although a way off leaders Cirencester.
After winning the toss, Pete Hall’s Cam started steadily with Hall and Adam Holloway finding early boundaries.
The tide of the game changed slightly in the ninth over as first Holloway was given leg before for 12 then on the very next ball Mike Glover was caught at slip off the bowling of Simon Gwynne.
Stu Newman joined Hall at the crease with the score 32-2 and both men managed to keep the board ticking at a steady five runs an over.
Hall reached 50 with a succession of boundaries off the bowling of Mark House. Neither man seemed troubled and runs were accumulated at ease.
The 30th over finally saw a breakthrough for Cinderford as Hall (75) was caught after a loose shot.
Tom Deakin joined Newman in the middle and four balls later Newman passed 50 for the first time this season.
With an increase in the run rate with 10 overs to go, Newman was caught for 58. Deakin and Jake Dolbear added another 30 to the scoreboard in the next four overs before Deakin was bowled after mistiming a pull shot for 14.
Dolbear soon followed as he was caught in the deep for 15. Alex Ballard took a liking to the bowling and managed to hit 35 off 20 balls.
Dolling at the other end managed to run hard to end up with 10 and get Cam to 236-7.
The Cinderford innings suffered a blow in the opening over as Dolling trapped Gwynne leg before off his second ball. Ali Longden, returning to the team, worked well as a pair with Dolling and kept his end tied down.
A drag across the line from Richard Bywater found the hands of Hall and gave Longden his solitary wicket.
After 18 overs, Cinderford had 48 on the board for the loss of two wickets, a common trait throughout the innings being the resistance of Ed Ruck.
The introduction of Ben Holloway changed the course of the game, as he had House trapped leg before in his second over and an over later, a diving catch from Adam Ford gave Holloway his second wicket.
Wickets three and four for Holloway came in the fifth and sixth overs with another leg before and a catch from Tom Deakin. Alex Ballard joined the party as Ford claimed a second catch.
Another lbw decision went the way of Holloway, followed by a good catch at slip by Mike Glover off the bowling of Dolling leaving Cinderford 90-9.
Holloway then cleaned up the last batsmen as Dolbear took the catch leaving Holloway with figures of 6-18 off 7.5 overs.
