DEREK Smetham romped home to victory in the Dursley Road Club Time Trial last week but it was two of the long-term members of the club that caught the eye.
Smetham finished the 10-mile race in 21.07mins but Neil Dimon rolled back the years to finish second in 23.38mins, while John Sirrett did the same to come home third in 23.54mins.
The good entry for the event saw most of the riders finish in under half-an-hour as David Summers came home fourth in 23.59mins, and Mike Hoarder went through the line in fifth place in 24mins exactly.
