Marshfield 116-5 beat Malmesbury 115 ao by five wickets
CAMERON Walker took four wickets as Marshfield easily overhauled a low Malmesbury total on Saturday. Walker’s cameo did not feature until midway through the innings as Tom Clist, who finished with 2-16 from his ten overs, picked up early wickets along with Tom Lamb.
Will Johnson took out Malmesbury’s danger man Michael Collison for 27 and, other than 20 from Ewen Kenny, Malmesbury offered little resistence. Walker took out James Pearce-Smith, James Gaunt, Kenny and Antony Brown as the batting side were all out for 115.
It was not easy for Marshfield in reply, though. Will Pascall went for four, but a solid 49 from fellow opener Alastair Christie, who struck four boundaries and a six, plus other contributions in the teens saw Marshfield to 116-5.
