DERBY day comes early as the Stroud and District League gets underway for the new season on the Bank Holiday weekend.
Whitminster, who finished tenth in division one last season, are at home on Saturday but face their near neighbours from Frampton United Reserves in their opener at School Lane.

They are away on Saturday in Oxleaze for a clash with Old Richians, who will be a difficult test for Charfield having finished fourth in the table in the previous campaign.

And The Swans reserves will be aiming to start what they hope will be a prosperous season with a bang, having just missed out on promotion to the top division with a third place previously.
Dursley Town Reserves will be looking to do better than last year when they were just above bottom side Abbeymead Rovers Reserves and kick-off their season on Monday at Kingswood Reserves.
