DURSLEY'S Ben Morgan will be going to the World Cup. The number eight has been included in England head coach Stuart Lancaster's 31-man squad for the tournament despite playing only 40 minutes in six months since breaking his leg.
It was expected to be a call between Morgan and Nick Easter for the second number eight spot behind former Thornbury product Billy Vunipola and Lancaster has gone for Morgan, who was last year's Man of the Series during the Autumn Test Series.
Vunipoa's brother Maku is also in the squad at prop.
Sam Burgess and Henry Slade are also in the squad.
Full squad soon - and look out for reaction from Dursley RFC on the greatest achievement by one of their own players in their history.
