Old Richians 19 Dursley 7

DURSLEY travelled to take on a strong Old Richians side and looking for their first league win of the season.
Dursley started strongly and within minutes were camped on the Old Richians line following a good take in the line out by captain Scott Udal and forward drive by props Ty Chappell and Joe Cowley and second row Jack Western.
The game then swung with Richians piling on pressure in the Dursley 22 but good defence stopped the charge.
With 10 minutes gone, a mistake by Dursley gifted a penalty for Richians to take the lead 3-0.
With Richians still on the front foot at the 17 minute mark, they slotted a long range penalty in front of the posts to make it 6-0.
Dursley rallied and a charge by number eight Tom Stevens breaking several tackles put Dursley almost to the try line but again it was lost.
Dursley missed a scoring opportunity on 25 minutes when the ball was knocked on just inches short of the line.
Good tackling led to a steal at the breakdown by centre A J Caddick and fly-half Grant Boucher capitalised with a stunning kick to touch deep in Richians territory.
From the line-out Dursley touched down but play was brought back for accidental offside.
Strong tackling by scrum half Jack Pinker and hooker Tom Broomfield gained a penalty and from the tap and go, Udal and Stevens put in hard yards before the ball was spun along the back line for centre Max Pullin to score with Boucher adding the difficult conversion from out wide to take the lead 7-6.
Richians restarted and regained the lead minutes later with a converted try to put them six points ahead.
Dursley started the second-half with a crunching tackle from flanker Jack Rowe and several good breaks from deep by full back Charlie Bennett.
On 55 minutes, Richians suffered a red card for one of their front row following foul play in the scrum and Camm capitalised on the reduced numbers with a strong break.
With no change in the score during the half Richians suffered a further reduction in numbers following a yellow card for their flanker.
With Richians now down to thirteen a break by Pinker supported by Boucher put Dursley close to the try line but the ball was turned over.
And in injury time, Richians slotted a drop goal to extend their lead 16-7.
Despite a text book tackle by Broomfield Richians secured a further penalty with the last kick of the game to win by 19-7.
