DURSLEY’S Ben Morgan has lost his battle to recover from a knee injury and misses the big Rugby World Cup Twickenham clash with Wales on Saturday.
Morgan, who played for England against Fiji, has been replaced by ex-Thornbury number eight Billy Vunipola.
The team, announced on Thursday morning, also sees Saracens’ fly-half Owen Farrell replacing Bath’s George Ford at fly-half with cross-code star Sam Burgess, also of Bath, coming into the centre.
England head coach Stuart Lancaster said: “We have a lot of respect for the Wales coaching team and their players, they are a high-quality side and I am sure it will some occasion on Saturday evening.
"The support at Twickenham last week was incredible with the crowd really getting behind us and we will need them again this week to lift the players against a tough Wales team."
