DURSLEY RFC are celebrating a new three-year kit sponsorship deal with local pub, The Old Spot Inn.

And the club have said that the link between the two well- established Cam and Dursley organisations was ‘fantastic’ news.

The Old Spot’s manager, Josh Bailey, who plays for the club, said: “Our sponsorship of the Dursley first team kit is a privilege, not only the pub but also for myself. “I have played at Dursley Rugby Club since the age of four and been taught so much through the game.

“It is therefore a great pleasure to give something back to the club. Dursley Rugby Club and The Old Spot are such cornerstones of the Dursley and Cam communities.

I hope that our partnership can make a big difference for these communities.”

Phil Sprague, senior rugby manager at Dursley RFC, was equally as delighted after their latest win over Bishopston.

He said: “This three-year sponsorship deal is fantastic for the senior club. “We have been very fortu - nate in recent years to take so many players from our successful junior set-up to the senior ranks.

“This sponsorship will al - low us to supply the excel - lence in coaching, equipment and, of course, playing strip that these youngsters and all of our players need to develop further.
