Frampton United 4 Patchway Town 1

FRAMPTON United gave themselves a good chance to finish in the runners-up position with a good win over close rivals Patchway Town.

Frampton’s first chance on goal fell to Kris Bulley but he pulled his shot wide. At the other end Matt Davies hit his shot just over the bar.

The home side went ahead on 20 minutes when Matt Cook finished off a great cross into the Patchway box.

The second was a little fortunate on 30 minutes a sliced shot from Minola Marquez Espada that finished up in the roof of the net.

Espada netted a second a minute into the second half rounding the keeper before slotting home.

Patchway’s Jordan Yeo was unlucky on 54 minutes as his free kick was only just wide of the target.

Frampton’s Myron Turner got the ball into the visitors net on 65 minutes but it was disallowed for pushing.

Lewis Wilton netted number four for the home side after Espada had set it up with a great pass on 87 minutes.

Patchway did manage a consolation goal in the 89th minute with a good finish from Chris Church.
