IN a pulsating finale Gloucestershire Women ended up drawing 91-91 with Somerset at Henleaze Bowls Club.
Their achievement of drawing the match was only down to two winning rinks out of six with Jackie Ind (Arrow) in commanding form in beating J. Price 19-5.
Margaret McColl (Cheltenham Spa) saw her rink come back from eight nil down to take the honours against C. Ball 18-13.
In a close encounter Gill Fry (Gloucester Spa) having held the edge over L. Grooves leading 15-12 at one stage was pipped at the post and went down to a 16-15 defeat.
Rachel Hughes (Royal Forest of Dean) up against J. Staunton came close to beating her opponent when the rink came from 15-4 down to only lose by a single shot 18-17.
Sue Osbourne (Kingswood and Hanham) against J. Walmsley lost by just two shots17-15 whilst Kay Gent (Caer Glow) saw her rink put to the sword by M. Dyer going down to a hefty 22-7 loss.
