IT was a hat-trick of wins for Pat Waring after her team triumphed in the annual Trio Trophy.

It is the third year in a row that Waring has been in the winning team for the stroke play competition, where partners are drawn.

Waring and partners Barrie Roberts and Chris Sheppard scored nett 54.75 followed by John Savage, Gary Viney and Pat Dunn 56.00 and Steve Leach, Dave Munn and Sarah Tyler 56.75. Brollies were the order of the day for the September Medal where competitors battled persistent rain as well as the course.

Division 1: Ross Casey nett 70, Mark Harris 71 & Alan Parnell 71; Division 2: Roy Hirst 73, John Newns 73 & Geoff Gillingham 73; Division 3: Robin Oakley 70, Steve Mayer 72 & Nick Bennett 72. The weather was kinder for the September Midweek Medal which saw Kevin Morgan card an impressive nett 66 to win the followed by Pete Taylor 68 and Ian Ashworth 69.

Julie Paulett took the honours in the Margaret Timothy Vets stableford competition with 34 points on count back from Mary Kowalczyk and Julie Cruickshank also with 34. The Ladies September Medal was well supported and was won by Lin Stares with nett 73 from Sue Reid 74 and Jacki Emerson 74. The Alliance One team completed their season by hosting Minchinhampton Two and halving the match. Ali Buncher and Hannah Brown-Pearce did very well to come fourth in the Ping Plate Final at Gainsborough Golf Club with 42 points and were very pleased with the golf bag, crystal glass bowl and voucher that they won.
