THERE has been yet more success for the Dursley Road Club riders after they took on another challenge.
They were at the at the Severn Road Club 25 mile Time Trial recently which was originally planned to take place on the A38 from Stone.
However, the course was changed due to the A38 bridge closure.
It consisted, therefore, of a really testing two-lap course starting from Didmarton. Despite a damp and windy morning and an early start, a keen field of 31 riders enthusiastically rode a route along the A433, turning onto the Bowldown Road before returning along the leg numbing A46. The event was eventually won by Dean Robson from NOPINZ in 55.23 minutes and Dursley Road Club put in a fine performance to take the team title.
Mike Davis came home first for Dursley RC and finished the course in one hour 02.37mins, Graeme Davis on hour 02.52mins and Steve White crossed the line in one hour 08.34mins.
