Gloucester City 3 Wotton-Under-Edge 2
COMING off the back of a big win at home, Wotton-under-Edge first team arrived in Gloucester in a confident mood but left defeated in a five-goal thriller.
This translated to their early play and soon found themselves in the lead from a Ryan Howarth short corner. More attacks followed and Howarth soon doubled his and the teams tally from close range.
A well-worked move from Mike Buist could have seen a quick fire Howarth hat trick however the ball just went wide.
This seemed to spur Gloucester on and they bombarded the Wotton D with constant long balls.
The pressure soon told and Wotton conceded from a short.
The second half saw more of the same with the home team equalising then scoring a winner just a minute from full time.
