SHARPNESS will be looking to cement their place at the top of the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League today with victory at Newent Town.

Sharpness lead Ruardean Hill Rangers by just one point although the Rangers have two games in hand on the table toppers but could slip up this afternoon as they tackle fourth-placed Taverners at the Taverners’ ground in Stonehouse.

Sharpness returned to the table summit after beating Bredon 3-2 at home last Saturday.

Cam Bulldogs travel to fifth placed Charlton Rovers hoping to add to a great 2-1 win over Bilbury last weekend.

The Bulldogs are up to ninth in the table now and another win, with results going their way, could see them enter the top five or six.

Meanwhile, in division two, Dursley Town will be looking to avenge a 5-0 reverse at Lydney last Saturday by putting a spanner in the works of third-placed Stroud Harriers at The Rec.

Wotton Rovers, in 13th place, have a tough away tie as they visit Quedeley Wanderers who are fourth.
