Gloucestershire FA Challenge Trophy second round

Patchway Town 1 Frampton United 2

FRAMPTON United and Patchway Town met for the second week running, this time in the Gloucestershire FA Challenge Trophy second round.

And it was Frampton who came out winners and progressed to the next round by the odd goal in three.

Paul Noise went close for home side Patchway with a header on 18 minutes and then two minutes later, Matt Davies hit the crossbar.

In the 22nd minute, Frampton took the lead from a breakaway Jonathan Lewis finding the back of Town's net.

Nathan Dennis went close for the visitors from a free kick on 28 minutes.

Town had a couple of chances that they failed to convert but did draw level on 41 minutes when Like Garbacz set up Matt Tovey to score.

The home side had a goal disallowed in the 54th minute but in the 83minute Frampton grabbed the winner when the ball was played into the home box and central defender Dan Dunt was unable to prevent a deflection going into his own net.

Minutes later Garbacz hit the upright but Frampton were through.
