BRISTOL Rovers owner Wael Al-Qadi and Bristol City counterpart Steve Lansdown have reached ‘a gentleman’s agreement’ that no future transfer dealings will be done between the two clubs.
The agreement comes after Bristol Rovers complained to the English Football League about the move, claiming City had knowledge of Taylor’s release clause in his contract before making an offer.
This is against EFL rules which state that these details are confidential and cannot be disclosed to other clubs.
Despite the complaint, Rovers did not take the complaint any further.
Now Al-Qadi, speaking on BBC Radio Bristol’s Saturday sports show, confirmed that a gentleman’s agreement between himself and Lansdown to stop cross-city transfers in the future had been done.
Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers are looking into complaints at the away Port Vale game on Saturday over incidents where, it is claimed, fans were punched and pepper spray was used on them.
Chairman Steve Hamer, speaking on BBC Bristol, said two fans were taken to hospital as a result and he was waiting to hear from police and Port Vale about the incident.
