DURSLEY Rugby Club’s Under-14s team travelled to the Forest of Dean on a beautiful sunny day to compete against a tough Drybrook.

Excellent teamwork and a strong scrum gave a resounding win to Dursley by 35-19.

This now puts Dursley into the semi-finals for the County Cup Plate. Date against opposition to be confirmed.

Dursley dominated the first half with five tries from Butcher and, Armstrong, who both scored twice, and Harrison, and five conversions, four from Wood and another by Fallows.

Gunton and Hinson were unfortunate not to score, though both put in sterling efforts, Armstrong flew down the pitch to score twice and Harrison’s turn of speed netted him a try.

Butcher powered through for his.

Forwards Denning, Baldwin, Woolams, Draisey, T Cox, Reynolds, E Cox, and Gunton, all put in good performances, with the backs of Powell, Bury, Topham and Pimlott getting the ball moving around the pitch. Woolnough, Wood and Rabjohns both tackled like demons. Drybrook came back with three tries and two conversions in the second half, but they had left it far too late to make any difference to the final outcome of the match.
