WOODCHESTER B secured third place in the Stroud and District League’s first division after a fine 6-4 victory on their visit to Forest Green A.
Clive Ellison finished as man of the match for the visitors as he returned a maximum.
Dave Hadley kept his team together as he scored a maximum for Phoenix A but couldn’t prevent them losing 4-6 at home to Yate.
Phoenix B scored an 8-2 victory at home to Frampton B giving them a safety cushion at the lower end of the table. Liwu Wei scored a hat trick for the home side.
In division two, Whiteshill B secured their mid-table position when their weakened team came away from Cam A with a 5-5 draw.
Chris Kowalczuk was man of the match for the visitors scoring a maximum.
The division three title race is going into the last week of the season.
Phoenix F put themselves in a strong position after beating their D team clubmates 10-0.
Woodchester C had won by a similar result when they entertained Phoenix E.
Woodchester D also had a convincing win when they beat the visiting Cam B 9-1 with maximums from Colin Bruton and Mike Hanks.
In division four, things are hotting up at the top of the division after Randwick E left Forest Green C with an 8-2 victory, Theo Laffort was man of the match for the Randwick team having scored a max.
George Thomas, with a hat-trick for Cam C as they beat visitors Phoenix H 7-3.
Thornbury D lost 4-6 at home to their visitors from Forest Green.
