Bishops Cleeve Colts 0 Wotton Rovers U14s 2
WOTTON Rovers Under-14 girls won their county cup for the third season running.
They faced Gloucestershire Girls League leaders, Bishops Cleeve Colts in what would be a tough battle to become county champions.
The sun was shining as the game kicked off with Wotton forcing an early chance leading to a corner.
A great cross from Jazz Bull resulted in a goalmouth scramble. Paige Todd put the ball back in the box and a mix up in the defence and pressure from Wotton led to a deflected own goal.
Wotton continued to put the pressure on, limiting the Colts to breakaway chances. Part way through the first half Emma Foxwell won the ball passing it through the midfield of Anna Symanowski and Jazz Bull for Connie Watt to calmly slot the ball into the far corner.
Bishops Cleeve started the second half fast, trying to get back into the game but the strong Wotton defence of Amy McCorkell, Hannah Dix, Ria Hodson and Kirstie Weston kept them at bay.
A fantastic whole team performance.
