Stroud League Division Three
Dursley Town Res 0 McCadam 3
DURSLEY failed to build on a promising first-half performance as their Gloucester opponents McCadam ran out comfortable winners at the Rec on Saturday.
While the visitors had more possession, Town initially looked more dangerous as Chris Wilkins headed just over the bar and Kyle Ward’s free-kick was well saved.
However, once the away side took the lead early in the second half there only ever looked like being one winner as the hosts became increasingly disjointed.
McCadam eventually killed their opponents off with two more goals in the final 20 minutes. There scorers were Chris Bellison, Alex Bolt and Jordan Ellis.
Dursley: R Cox; S Pearson, K Smith, P Cook, C Wilkins; N Taylor, R Lyon, N Vines, W Hazelwood (M Jones 80); K Ward, B Smith.
* In Gloucestershire County Women’s League Division One, Dursley were thrashed 11-0 by visiting Almondsbury after having their pre-match plans thrown into disarray.
Key players Alex Gwyther and Yazmin Laver only arrived for the final 15 minutes due to Sunday’s M5 closure and Town served up a dreadful display in their absence.
