Rockleaze Rangers 0 Frampton United 1
FRAMPTON United were presented with the Gloucestershire County League runners-up trophy after ending their season with a 1-0 win over Rockleaze Rangers.
A win at Hardwicke in the week meant that Frampton United made the trip to Rockleaze knowing only a win would guarantee second-place.
They managed to grab the only goal of the game in the 34th minute to secure the runners-up position. An early chance fell to Frampton’s Kris Bulley but Sam Burgess saved with his legs.
Then in the 34th-minute a long cross to the far post was met by Stuart Maule who headed back across goal and into the far corner.
Midway through the second-half the Frampton custodian James Marklove pulled of a great save to deny Kye Simpson then 10 minutes later Marklove pulled off another good save to deny Nick Jones.
Right on time Frampton almost made it 2-0 but Jonathan Lewis’s chip struck the crossbar.
