BRISTOL Rovers manager Darrell Clarke is shaping his side for next season even before the current campaign is over.

As he gets his squad prepared to face Millwall on Sunday, manager Clarke has made new contract offers to Ellis Harrison, Rory Gaffney, James Clarke, Ryan Broom and Alfie Kilgour.

However Will Puddy, Bob Harris, Danny Greenslade, Cristian Montano, Dominic Thomas, Jermaine Easter, Jamie Lucas and Jake Gosling have not been offered new contracts.

Clarke explained; “It’s always difficult to make decisions such as this.

“I have been doing it for a number of years now and it doesn’t get any easier. As far as the players who have not received an offer are concerned, I would like to say that they have been a credit to themselves and the club whilst they have been with us.

“They have worked incredibly hard and have always given their best and I wish them all every success for the future.”

All other players are under contract to the club, but there are two senior members of the squad who have been made coaching offers, Lee Mansell and Steve Mildenhall.

Mansell has been offered the role Professional Development Phase Coach in our Academy and will work alongside Tom Parrinello with our U-18 squad.

Mildenhall has been offered the role of goalkeeping coach and will work with the clubs first team goalkeepers and those in the U-21 squad.
