FOLLOWING her double bronze at the Portuguese Junior European Track Championships, Berkeley-based cyclist Pfeiffer Georgi, 16, took two more medals, this time in the Junior National Track Championships held at Newport’s Wales National Velodrome last week.

With fellow Great Britain Junior Academy rider, Yorkshire-based Anna Docherty, Georgi, riding for Liv CC Epic Coaching, won gold in the Madison on the first day of competition.

And she also came away with bronze at the end of the week in the Scratch Race – the ‘marathon’ of track cycling – on the last day.

And there was no let-up for Georgi as she went straight on to the road racing circuit and took part in the CTT National Championship 25 mile time trial.

She came out with gold this time by winning the Junior Girls event, where her time of 54minutes 51seconds was within tens seconds of the competition all-time record and would have placed her 11th out of the 98 riders in the senior women’s race.
