Gloucestershire County League
Patchway Town 2 Kingswood 0
It is now three games without success for Kingswood who are at the bottom of the Gloucestershire County League after losing a match which, even at this early stage of the season, became important for the club.
Indeed, Kingswood have yet to register a goal in four-and-a-half hours they have played in the league this season.
Patchway were a place above Kingswood before kick-off but the visitors went a goal down again soon after the kick-off. Patchway’s Danny Warren finished off a cross from Sam Peplow on 15 minutes.
Nevertheless, Kingswood did try to score as home keeper Jamie Farmiloe kept the visitors from levelling with a tremendous save from Jordan Simms on 24 minutes.
Town’s Danny Dunt hit the crossbar a few minutes later and, in time added at the end of the game, David Ishi tapped in a cross to make it 2-0.
It leaves Kingswood standing along with Gala Wilton as the only winless teams at the moment, and Kingswood are bottom due to being nine goals worse of on goal difference than the team above them.
