BERKELEY'S Pfeiffer Georgi remained calm under pressure at theNnational GHS Ten Mile Time Trial Championship last weekend as mechanical issues nearly ended her race before it started.
The 16-year-old took the win in the competition, riding for the Liv CC Epic Coaching team.
Georgi clocked a time of 23 minutes one second, nearly two minutes quicker than her nearest rival.
The GHS, named after a George Herbert Stancer OBE, was held in Cambridgeshire. GHS was a nationally renowned cyclist and a leading light of the sport.
The trust fund subsequently established in his name, promoted and encouraged participation amongst young cyclists and has led to the GHS event in its current form.
