Ruardean Hill Rangers 3 Kingswood 1

KINGSWOOD went down to their fifth defeat in eight Gloucestershire County League games this season after losing out to new boys Ruardean Hill Rangers on Saturday.

It was only the second home game of the season for ex-Gloucestershire Northern Senior League side Ruardean Hill after they beat AEK Boco in the first one.

And against Kingswood, they had the ball in the net after three minutes but it was ruled out for offside.

But two minutes later, they were one up as Kane Fellows headed home a Mitch Griffiths cross.

Then came a string of chances for the home side but Kingswood keeper Chris Fox was in no mood to let another goal in as he brought off save after save. Kingswood equalised on 35 minutes when Jordan Sims volleyed home from the edge of the box.

Fellow netted his second on fifty minutes a superb diving header from a Charlie Mason cross.

The home side continued to create chances but Fox was in great form and it went into two minutes of added time before the home side got their third and final goal as Luke Johnson cut in from the flank before driving a low shot past Fox.
