FORMER Forest Green captain Liam Noble has re-signed for Notts County for a second time on an 18-month deal.
The contract will begin once the transfer window opens on January 1, but in the meantime, Noble will train full-time with the Magpies and feature in reserve matches.
Noble departed the New Lawn last week, with the League Two club saying the player wanted to move closer to his family in Newcastle as the reason for his three-year deal being terminated.
Notts County made Noble their top transfer target in the summer, but Forest Green rebuffed a number of approaches for their star player. The Magpies claimed they had a £100,000 bid turned down by Forest Green in the summer, but this figure was denied by chairman Dale Vince in a verbal spat with Notts chairman Alan Hardy.
