Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division Two
Whitecroft 5 Dursley Town 1
DURSLEY Town continue to prop up the rest of Northern Senior Two as Whitecroft moved up to second place in the table following this one-sided thrashing in the Forest of Dean.
Town goalkeeper Keith Watson, back in the first team almost exactly a year to the day since breaking his leg, kept his side level early on, but defensive lapses eventually gave the hosts a two-goal lead.
Curtis Mills had an effort blocked on the line early in the second half, and the visitors soon took full advantage with a third goal following a cheaply conceded free-kick.
As the visitors tired, rampant Whitecroft added two more, including the goal of the game, before Mills scored Town’s consolation late on when dispossessing the over-confident home goalkeeper.
* Dursley Reserves also went down 5-1 against their Old Richians counterparts.
