Berkeley Division Three
Wotton-under-Edge Ladies 3rds 2 Thornbury 2nds 0
ANOTHER three points were gained by Wotton Ladies thirds beat local opposition Thornbury seconds 2-0.
The win was well deserved for Wotton, who used their subs wisely and maintained control and possession of the ball in what was a tough game.
The first goal was scored by Wendy Gough, who took on a defender, maintained possession and then successfully took a shot on goal from the centre of the D.
During the second half Wotton won two short corners. The first was saved by the Thornbury keeper but the second was passed to Elysia Davis-Evans who took a straight strike from the injection and lifting the ball over the defenders to drop in and hit the back board to give Wotton the 2-0 win.
