Berkeley Division Two
Wotton-under-Edge Ladies 2nds 1 Pucklechurch 3
A dreary morning saw a slow start to the game from a Wotton perspective.
However, they improved throughout, finishing strong despite Pucklechurch taking the win.
Despite solid defensive work from our back line, including player of the match Leila Grey, Pucklechurch put a very well executed goal away.
During the second half, Wotton still found it difficult to capitalise on opportunities in the D, with the presence of a kicking back causing some confusion.
After a great drive from Ming Green, she passed to Katy Cruickshank who slapped it into the D and onto a defender’s foot.
Abby Ellis accurately injected the ball up to Rebecca Jones who smashed it toward the goal and Sharron Bates pulled a champagne moment out of the bag deflecting it from mid-air into the goal.
