FOREST GREEN boss Mark Cooper had already ruined his best-loved shoes when he embarked on a victory jig along the touchline.

Rovers looked to be heading for a 2-2 draw with Crewe Alexandra, but Alex Iacovitti's 93rd minute winner handed Cooper's side a last-gasp win and prompted a pumped up dash from Rovers' exuberant boss.

Cooper's Antonio Conte style celebration cut a mixture of relief and raw emotion on a rainy New Lawn day.

"My shoes were absolutely ruined along with my trousers and coat, so I thought I might as well go the whole hog," said a delighted Cooper, who saw his side stretch their League Two unbeaten run to five games.

"That' what last minute winners do for you, I make no apologies for that and you don't get many of those and I think it's important you celebrate.

"It wasn’t being disrespectful to the opposition - I ran the other way."
