BERKELEY based cyclist Pfeiffer Georgi, 17, finished 2017 off in spectacular style winning the Women’s National Madison Championship.
Pfeiffer was victorious alongside her with Liv Cycling Club teammate, Yorkshire based Anna Docherty.
Racing over 120 laps at London’s Olympic velodrome, it was a nail biting finish with Pfeiffer & Anna taking the win by one point.
The madison is a conventional race with the two cyclists on each team taking it in turns to ride, one races while the other has a rest.
When the riders change over the replacement rider must be touched before they can switch places.
