CAM BULLDOGS will be looking to take a big step towards the top today by beating lowly Quedgeley Wanderers in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League division one.

And they will be looking for Berkeley Town to do them a favour.

The Bulldogs have slipped off the lead and had their clash with Sharpness postponed last weekend due to the weather.

But with the sun shining today and the temperatures looking better, there is every chance the fixture programme will be on and so the Bulldogs will have a chance to overhaul Charlton Rovers and take third place when they travel to the Wanderers.

Berkeley will do Cam a favour by beating Charlton but eighth placed Town will have to do so away from home which means a tough challenge.

Sharpness, meanwhile, will look to overtake Brockworth Albion in mid-table. Brockworth are in sixth place and Sharpness are in seventh, with one point separating them.

And there is another reason for Sharpness to overhaul Leonard Stanley as Stanley are in eighth place, one below Sharpness, although they have played two games more than their opponents today and are 11 points further back.
