England can all but secure qualification to the last 16 with victory against Panama on Sunday afternoon.

This time four years ago, England went into their second game against Uruguay needing a result but they crashed out after a 2-1 defeat.

Four years on, the mood is completely different, the players are still buoyed from their late victory over Tunisia and sense an opportunity against debutants Panama.

If England win and Tunisia lose then Gareth Southgate's side are in the knockout stages and can go into the Belgium game without that pressure of needing a victory like they did against Uruguay.

Dele Alli is the only injury concern but the performances of Marcus Rashford and Reuben Loftus-Cheek from the bench were encouraging and the team shouldn't really suffer too much from Alli's absence.

Panama held firm for 47 minutes against Belgium but the floodgates opened once the first goal went in. They will inevitably sit deep and try and frustrate England.

England's patience against Tunisia was impressive so the players need to remain calm and play their football rather than panic. The build up play was measured even in the final stages of the first match which is something Southgate will surely remind the players about.

Confidence is high in the camp and what an opportunity for England to achieve early qualification and build much needed momentum.

Prediction: England 2-0 Panama
