FOREST Green take a break from their Blue Square Premier promotion quest by turning their attention to the FA Cup on Saturday.

David Hockaday’s side welcome Dartford, who sit one place below Rovers in sixth in the Blue Square Premier and an upbeat Hockaday is confident his side can halt a three-game losing sequence.

Hockaday said: We‘ve performed better than results show over the past three games and we haven’t taken the spoils.

"We should have got something from each of those games and the fact we haven’t is disappointing. Mansfield only had three shots all game and Tamworth only had two. If we can put our chances away and stop making individual errors, I’m very confident we’ll start putting points back on the board."

Hockaday and his staff have done their homework on Dartford and expect a tough test.

He added: "Dartford have had a good start to the season. It’s a tough draw for both teams but that’s the card we’ve been dealt; and besides we want to win every game.

"The FA Cup adds a bit more spice because you only get one shot and we want out name in that hat for the draw in the first round proper."

Forest Green should be able to call on defender Chris Stokes (thigh) and midfielder Al Bangura (groin), but Jamie Collins (knee) is expected to be out for a lengthy spell.

Rovers’ England C quartet - Matty Taylor, Eddie Oshodi, Jamie Turley and Kieron Forbes all reported back for training at Cirencester RAC this morning after their clash in Albania was cancelled.
