YATE TOWN’S GFA Senior Cup tie against Bristol Rovers on Wednesday night is the latest game to be hit by the extreme wintry weather.
It is the fourth game in a row they’ve had called off, with last Saturday’s league game at Abingdon United also being postponed.
Football, rugby and hockey games across South Gloucestershire were all hit last weekend as snow wiped out the local football schedule.
Thornbury Running Club’s Riverbank Rollick, due to be held on Sunday, is set to be rearranged for another date.
The event was a sell-out well in advance for the first time, but had to be postponed due to hazardous ice on the road sections.
A club statement said: “It is hoped that a new date will be announced shortly, and entrants unable to compete will be offered a refund if they do not wish their entry fee to be given to charity.”
