YATE-BASED James Routley and Ham’s Katie Allen won gold medals at the Pat Wade Classic acrobatic gymnastics competition recently.
They triumphed in the mixed pairs dynamic international 1 class at Fenton Manor in Stoke-on-Trent.
The duo were representing Patchway-based Harriers Sports Acrobatic Gymnastics Club, who followed up their success at the South West competition in Taunton last summer with another large medal haul.
Kenedi Cross and Vada Finnear won gold for the 12-18 years mixed pairs.
A further medal was won by Lara Short, Gaby Cousins and Chloe Gunter for the 13-19 years women’s groups.
Over 260 gymnasts took part from 30 groups and six nations – Australia, USA, France, Russia, Belgium, UK.
