THORNBURY seconds narrowly lost at home to South Gloucs.

The hosts started confidently and might well have been two goals up having had the majority of the play in the first quarter.

Beth Brown, in goal, was prominent with some excellent saves to deny the visitors, who dominated the second half.

Thornbury visit Avonmouth on Saturday for a rearranged league fixture.
